Our beautiful, Italianate Victorian bed and breakfast is located in the heart of Utica, NY on the main thoroughfare of Genesee Street. Our neighborhood is culturally, ethnically and racially diverse and represents many of the over 40 different people groups that call Utica home. Utica is designated as a "Refugee City" so we are naturally inclined towards welcoming strangers and helping them adjust to life in a new home and land. To us, this was the perfect place to open a business focused on offering hospitality to strangers.

We are close to everything that Utica has to offer—the Stanley Theater, Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute, FX Matt Brewery, the Erie Canal, Utica Zoo, Val Bialis Ski Area, Valley View Golf Course and so much more. Utica is home to 5 colleges and we are only a short distance from all of them, within walking distance of three.

All of our ethnic diversity has given our city an abundance of fantastic restaurants. We are known for our unique Italian offerings like Chicken Riggies and Utica Greens, but that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to dining and food experiences available in Utica. Indian, Greek, Spanish, Lebanese and a wide variety of Asian cuisines can be sampled and enjoyed. We even have our own unique style of barbecue offered at Piggy Pat's.

Even more exciting is the use of locally harvested products, commonly known as the "farm to table" movement. Many of our local restaurants purchase meats, vegetables, eggs and dairy from the surrounding nearby farms and we do the same with all of the foods served for breakfast here at the Rosemont Inn.
