The Rosemont Inn is a beautifully restored and comfortably furnished Italianate Victorian mansion. Owned by prominent Utica industrialist, Charles Millar, the home features many of the distinguishing marks of the Italianate style. The large cupola, massive brackets and square main building, with accompanying ell for servants, were typical elements.
The Rosemont Inn is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of many that hold that distinction within the city of Utica and the county of Oneida. In fact, much history remains all over this part of Upstate NY. It is located just outside Utica's Downtown central business district and only a few blocks from Pratt Institute at Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute.
