Grace-Filled Hands Restorative Massage
Grace Sleys graduated from the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage where she studied a number of sciEences including Myology -(the study of muscles and their function) as well as specific techniques for postural assessment and rehabilitation, Trigger point therapy, and a variety of eastern modalities such as Shiatsu, Reflexology, and Acupressure.
"I always knew I wanted to be a care giver in some capacity and while I thought about becoming a nurse or physical therapist (both professions I highly respect), I was hesitant to get involved with the bureaucracy. My passion is to work within an environment where people are seen as the human beings they are, not as on an isolated incident, disease, or problem. I believe that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, that each part of our body is designed to work together and this drives my desire to work within the preexisting systems of the body to bring wellness to the whole person."-Grace
She enjoys the fresh air and beautiful scenery of hiking in the Adirondack mountains, traveling, painting, performing in local theater, as well as serving the many wonderful guest we host here at the Rosemont Inn.

Shiatsu is an ancient form of massage that developed and grew out of traditional Japanese medicine. The treatment is more subtle than most western massage and focuses heavily on prevention taking particular care of the most slight imbalances in the body to maintain movement and health.
The Therapist will work mostly with palm pressure -steady or rhythmic based of your bodies needs - along meridians. Specific points will be worked along particular meridians that manifest as imbalanced.
The result of such a treatment can often be incredibly relaxing. Since no oils are used, the entire treatment is performed within the comfort of your own clothes, typically on a mat placed on the floor. Note -please wear loose clothing to allow for full range of motion.
