During these unprecedented and challenging times, we wanted to let you know what we are doing to ensure a safe and healthy stay for you when you are ready to resume traveling. There are many advantages to staying at our small establishment as opposed to larger chain hotels.
First, and by definition, you will encounter many fewer people at our bed and breakfast than at any larger hotel. We usually have anywhere from 7 to 14 guests in-house at any one time compared to hundreds of people at a time in larger establishments.
Next, our housekeeping staff is small and closely managed. Although we have always maintained a high standard of cleanliness, we are now redoubling our efforts to wipe down every door knob, remote and handrail between guest stays. Our duvet covers allow us to wash all bedding between guests. No staff is allowed on premises if they are showing any sign of illness.
Guest rooms are allowed to air with open windows between each guest. We have followed this practice for many years after learning that indoor air quality is often more compromised than outdoor air. Air exchange also allows any lingering scents or pathogens to disperse naturally without using heavily scented cleaning products. Many large hotels rarely open widows.
Breakfast service at the Rosemont Inn is personalized and served to you at your table rather than on a buffet. There are no shared serving spoons, coffee pots, syrup servers or cream dispensers. Each table has its own, clean and personalized serving of each of these things. Breakfast is prepared and served by only 1 person, or at most, 2 people, rather than a large staff. This greatly reduces your risk of encountering any problems. We have been scrupulous about hand-washing for many years and are now redoubling our efforts to wash our hands between the serving of each breakfast course.
