Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea is now being served at the Rosemont Inn, Utica’s premier Bed and Breakfast Inn. Join us at 2 PM on Thursday or Saturday for a relaxing visit with friends or colleagues while enjoying our legendary scones, Inn-made jams and hand made sweet and savory morsels.

We offer a wide variety of loose leaf teas, decaf and regular, as well as herbal selections for your pleasure and enjoyment. Don’t know much about tea? Let us choose up to 3 different types of tea for you, one to accompany each course of your afternoon repast. Each tea will be presented at your table in an elegant French Press and served in fine china.

Reservations are required and can be made anytime by calling Rita, your tea hostess and innkeeper, at 317-790-9315. Please see the Menu page for pricing and seasonal menu options.

The Rosemont Inn can accommodate up to 20 guests for tea in our elegant dining room. Larger groups of up to 75 can be accommodated with buffet style service utilizing the Center Hall, Library and Double Parlor. Please call for pricing for groups of over 20 guests. A cozy table for 2, nestled in a quiet corner of the 1866 Victorian Inn can also be arranged on request.

Afternoon tea at the Rosemont Inn is a unique and memorable way to celebrate any number of special occasions such as a Girl’s Birthday (ages 1-99!), Retirement, Bridal or Baby Shower, Ladies or Business Meeting. Other tea-time suggestions include:

  • Some place new and different for your book-club or bridge meeting
  • Getting reacquainted with old friends you haven’t seen for a while
  • Celebrating your love for that special someone
  • Honoring the special relationship between grandmother/grandchild, mother/daughter, cherished sisters, dearest friends.

We are located just a few blocks from the Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute. Plan to visit the museum (its free!) and end your day with “Afternoon Tea” at the Rosemont Inn, one of Utica’s best kept secrets!
